How to read the chart
- Start at Row 1 in the bottom-right corner and work upward.
- For flat knitting, read odd rows right to left and even rows left to right.
- Each square is one stitch; outside numbers identify row and stitch positions.
- Numbers inside the squares count consecutive stitches of one color, restarting at each color change.
In this colorwork chart, the solid lower slopes make useful landmarks before you reach the changing outlines of the peaks.
